Sort nuts rather than dismantle planks
Level 3 shows upright threaded bolts carrying colored nuts. Some lower nuts are black with question marks. Focus on the top nut of each stack and the free space on the other bolts.
Use spare space to reveal information
Two bolts begin empty in the first Level 3 image. A later image shows yellow and red moved onto separate lower bolts and a green nut lifted above the board. Focus on the exposed nut and available destination space. Do not plan around the color of a question-mark nut until it is revealed.
Reassess after each reveal
A newly visible color can change which bolt should remain available. The Level 4 image shows a different arrangement with visible colors, so it is not an intermediate step of Level 3.
